The widget (or upload page) allows any user to securely send you files. The uploaded files will automatically appear in your connected drive, and portal, organized to the user who uploaded the file.
The file-upload widget is an alternative way to collect files from clients or other parties. It does not require the uploader to log into an account on your portal. Even users who don’t have an account on your portal can use the upload widget or upload page. An an account will automatically be created for them
There are two ways to use the widget:
Simply go to https://YourSubdomain.ctbl.app/filedrop/
This page can be accessed by any user, who can simply upload files without logging in. Share this link with any user you would like to upload files.
You can direct your client to your own website to upload files using an embedded widget.
To embed the widget use the code snippet found on your Organization Settings page (https://YourSubdomain.ctbl.app/settings/organization), in the Upload Widget section.
You must be logged in as the business owner account to access this page.
(1) Copy the code snippet in your Settings, it is unique to your organization (do not use the code in the image above).
(2) Paste the code in between your <body> and </body> elements on your website page.
This is fairly simple to carry out using popular website builder platforms such as Wordpress, WiX, Webflow, Shopify and more.
Alternatively, your website developer can assist you as this task takes only a few minutes.
If done correctly, the widget will appear on your website.
